Kimberly Nelson
Chief Executive Officer

Kim has been working with adults living with an intellectual disability since she was 18 and has been employed with Gateway Resources since 2003.
She is a mom of two young girls who keep her very busy; however, in her spare time family, friends, being outside (only when it’s warm), and reading take up the remainder of her free time.
Julie Douma
Director of Human Resources

Julie has worked supporting people where they live and work for over 25 years.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, socializing and always laughing.
Loni Derksen
Director of Operations

Loni has been employed with Gateway Resources since 2009. He has managed residential homes and the Woodroom before taking over the Director of Operations position.
This position is responsible for the Woodroom, Recycling Department, Bus Transportation and Infrastructure which includes Building and Grounds Maintenance.
Loni enjoys spending time with family when not working.
Tim Hamp
Director of Day Services

Tim began his employ with Gateway Resources in 2009. He has worked in the Day Services department as a Direct Support Professional, Manager, and Coordinator before taking over the Director of Day Services position.
He is a parent to two wild young men, which keeps him and his wife engaged outside of work. In his free time, Tim enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to music, reading, creating art, and spending time with family and friends.
Dianne Hildebrand
Director of Housing

Dianne has been Director of Housing at Gateway since August 2013. In this role, she get to use skills from many parts of her life and experiences – renovating her own homes, working in seniors’ housing in Winnipeg (Lions Manor), as an Occupational Therapist in Kitchener, ON, serving in the church as a pastor and teacher, and being a parent of three young adults.
In her office is a teddy bear with a little badge that reads “Peace begins at home” and a wall of photos of all the individuals who live in Gateway Residences. These items bring focus to her daily work and interactions.
