Gateway Resources presently employs 160 people on a full time, part time, or casual basis. We also offer work placements/practicums and summer employment to students within our community.
The Human Resources Division focuses on the management of staff within the organization. This includes recruiting, screening, interviewing, and finding a good fit for Direct Support Professionals within the organization. This Division also focuses on implementing policies and systems that will benefit the employees.
The aim of the Human Resources Division is to ensure that our organization employs the right balance of staff in terms of skills and experience, and that training and development opportunities are available to employees to enhance their performance.
Near the beginning of employment, staff will attend a Gateway Resources Orientation Session where they will learn valuable information about this organization. Moving forward, Gateway will continue to look at new opportunities for staff to gain personal growth in their chosen career as we continue on the path to being an employer of choice in our community.
A Wellness Committee plans events designed to connect staff and encourage building and maintaining positive work relationships that take place throughout the year. Through the Wellness Committee, recognition awards and gifts, which are dependent upon years of service, are presented to employees on an annual basis.
The Workplace Health and Safety Committee focuses on building and sustaining a safe and healthy workplace environment for the employees of our organization.
